The following procedure describes the functions of the Playback toolbar, which is positioned on the Timeline. You can use it to play back a visualisation without having to set up any Timeline events.

To play a 3D visualisation:

1. Click or select Playback > Play to start the visualisation running.

   You can also click or select Step Forward to move forwards one time-step at a time from the outset.

2. During playback, you can do one or more of the following:
   • Click or select Playback > Pause to pause the playback (select Pause again to resume).
   • If you want to stop the playback, click or select Playback > Stop.
3. Pausing or stopping the playback enables you to select the following options:
   • When paused, click or (select Playback > Step Back or Step Forward) to move backwards or forwards one time-step at a time.
   • Click or select Playback > Restart to return the visualisation to its start time, from where you can run it again.
